Libraries serve their communities in wonderful ways and can be effective venues for NASA outreach and public engagement. The Maryland Library Association (MLA) and the Delaware Library Association State associations of libraries provide professional development and communication for library staff, library science students and trustees. The two associations held a joint conference in Ocean City, May 6-8, 2015, at which Landsat was represented. Landsat communications staff told stories for participants about how Landsat benefits people in the areas of human health, disaster response, climate change, urban growth, water management and more. Participants also learned basic concepts about how Landsat works and had an introduction to Landsat’s 40+ year technological and research legacy. For more information, visit: http://www.mdlib.org/
