Science and engineering enthusiasts of all ages at the 2015 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals competition were introduced to how Landsat sees the world. Odyssey of the Mind is an international education program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program. At the 2015 World Finals competition, which took place at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, May 19-23, Landsat communications staff presented an in-depth program about how Landsat records reflected light in visible and infrared wavelengths to help people understand how the Earth’s landscapes are changing over time, and to benefit society in highly cost-effective ways. Landsat was part of a larger, multifaceted NASA presence that reached about 7,000 students, teachers and coaches. For more information, visit: http://odysseyofthemind.com/
