Andy Dantzler, 49, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Andy graduated from the University of Maryland in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in astronomy and physics. After graduation he took a position as a optical engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD where he worked until 2006. During his time at Goddard, Andy served as a Landsat 7 instrument manager, helping the Landsat 7 team during development and launch.
