The collaborative efforts of the Smithsonian Institution, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Global Imagination, and NASA on the “Earth from Space” museum exhibit—in which Landsat was widely featured—have been recognized with the USGS Shoemaker Communications Award. This prestigious award recognizes exemplary efforts to present scientific information to non-technical audiences in accessible ways. The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27 at USGS Headquarters in Reston, VA.
