Great Sandy Desert

Great Sandy Desert
Image taken 2/24/2001

The western region of Australia's Great Sandy Desert is in an area almost devoid of sand, but characterized by complex geology.

The Great Sandy Desert can be found on Landsat 7 WRS Path 111 Row 75, center: -21.68, 120.68.

The desert looks like sheets of rock that have a mottled
color.
