Great Slave Lake is the second-largest lake in Canada’s Northwest Territories and with a maximum depth of 2,014 feet it is also the deepest lake in North America. The lake’s name derives from the Slavey (or Dene) North American Indians.
In this image vegetation is green, clouds are white, burn scars are red, and water is black and blue.
