Landsat and iGETT at the 2009 ASPRS Meeting
Contributor: Jeannie Allen
Mar. 13 • Landsat's Education and Public Outreach
staff gave two presentations, chaired a panel, and facilitated a meeting
for American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS)
members about the community college professional development program, "iGETT" (Integrated
Geospatial Education and Technology Training).
iGETT is funded primarily by the National Science Foundation's Advanced
Technological Education Program and is also supported by the Landsat
7 and LDCM missions. ASPRS has offered free one-year memberships to
all iGETT participants, and immediate-past-President Marguerite Madden
gave presentations at two iGETT Institutes in Corpus Christi, TX.
ASPRS members will review iGETT "Learning Units," authored
by iGETT participants.
