Landsat at Space Day

May 2 • The Landsat Education and Outreach team participated in Space Day at the National Air and Space Museum on Saturday, May 2. At this perennial favorite event, thousands of visitors enjoy hands-on activities, meet astronauts and authors, and explore NASA views of our own changing planet. The Landsat booth provided opportunities to speak with staff who ensure that Landsat acquires the critical data and images people need to better manage the natural and cultural resources of our planet. All of the activities took place amid the awe-inspiring collection of historic aviation and space artifacts in the Smithsonian Museum’s National Mall building.
