Landsat at NSF Advanced Technological Education Conference

LDCM Education/Outreach staffer Jeannie Allen presented a poster on the land remote sensing education program, “Integrated Geospatial Education and Technology Training (iGETT),” at NSF ATE’s conference for PIs and Co-PIs, “Keeping Technical Programs Viable and Sustainable,” in Washington DC, October 17-19. iGETT will enable 40 community and tribal college faculty to integrate Landsat remote sensing data into their Geographic Information Systems programs over the period, 2007-2010. Allen is a Co-PI. Laura Rocchio, Support Scientist for LDCM is Senior Staff on iGETT. Partners on the program are the National Council for Geographic Education; Del Mar College; Environmental Systems Research Institute; and the U.S. Geological Survey.
