Dec. 3, 2012 • This week at the annual AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco, CA, Landsat will be featured in nearly 200 scientific presentations.
Additionally, both the NASA (#225) and USGS (#417, #419) booths at the Exhibitor’s Hall will feature information about the Landsat program and the upcoming Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM/Landsat 8) launch.
At the NASA booth on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 3:50 to 4:10 p.m., Dr. Robert Kennedy, a new member of the Landsat Science Team will give a talk titled, “Life Histories from Landsat: 25 Years in the Pacific Northwest Forest,” and he will discuss monitoring changes to forests in the Pacific NW from 1984 till present. Then on Thursday, Dec. 6, Dr. Jim Irons, the NASA Landsat Project Scientist for LDCM will give a hyperwall presentation titled, “LDCM: Building on the Landsat Legacy,” from 10:00 to 10:20 a.m.
