A third Earth to Sky workshop was held from Jan. 26–30, 2009 at the Stephen T. Mather Training Center in Harpers Ferry, WV. This NASA-funded professional development workshop was aimed at National Park Service interpretive rangers, but also included U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service professionals, and other informal educators. The workshop was part of an expanding partnership between NASA and NPS, it featured NASA scientists and Education and Public Outreach (E/PO) professionals from Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). The workshop included a day-long visit to GSFC and a “Share-a-Thon” that provided rangers with an opportunity to learn about NASA E/PO materials not included in the climate change presentations.
