- A semi-annual meeting of the Landsat Science Team was held in Phoenix, Arizona from March 1–3. The meeting focused on the LDCM mission status and included a briefing by the LDCM spacecraft designer—Orbital Sciences—located in nearby Gilbert, Arizona. Landsat 9 planning and Landsat Science Team research were among the other topics of discussion. A detailed summary of the meeting has been made available by the USGS Landsat Project. The last Landsat Science Team meeting will be held in Sioux Falls this summer.
