NASA/GSFC hosted an informational meeting for prospective offerors on December 11, 2006 at The Inn and Conference Center at the University of Maryland University College. Due to the fact that International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)-sensitive information was presented at this meeting, attendance was limited to U.S. Persons. Time was set aside for discussions with the prime contractors and their subcontractors. There was not separate discussions for subcontractors. Appointments for discussions were scheduled in advance with the LDCM Contracting Officer Patricia Dombrowski. This meeting was primarily for OLI instrument offerors, their primary subcontractors, and current and potential RSDO spacecraft offerers.

South Korea is facing a water quality problem. Researchers Hyunglok Kim and Seongjun Lee from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) embarked on developing a model to predict water quality indicators in near real-time.
