The United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Global Resource Information Database (GRID), located in Sioux Falls, SD, has released an atlas showing landscape-scale environmental changes that have affected Africa’s lakes over the past 30 years. The atlas is titled: “Africa’s Lakes: Atlas of Our Changing Environment.” The imagery found in the atlas is predominately from the Landsat satellites.

Landsat & LCLUC: Science Meeting Highlights
