$6.25 million dollar U.S. Geological Survey National Land Imaging (NLI) Program National Land RemoteSensing, Education, Outreach, and Research Activity (NLRSEORA) grant.
AmericaView is a nationwide, university-based, and state-implemented consortium of 39 states and 300 local and state members who strive to advance the widespread use of remote sensing data and technology to the public and private sectors. AmericaView will support the key NLI NLRSEORA grant objectives by identifying and communicating critical information and data requirements in support of remote sensing needs at local and state levels; by fostering local and national strategic partnerships; by promoting undergraduate and graduate research and employment skills; by advancing education and training, technology transfer and outreach to enhance the nation’s current and future workforce; and by supporting the U.S. Department of the Interior Secretarial Priorities.
