In this USGS Landsat in Action video, Leif Olmanson, a researcher at the University of Minnesota, talks about the value of Landsat data for monitoring the thousands of lakes in Minnesota. The University of Minnesota has been using Landsat data to monitor water clarity for two decades and for nearly 15 years they have made that Landsat-based information available in the Lake Browser, their web-based map server.
